Garden of Gunillaberg, Bottnary, Sweden
On our holiday through Sweden this summer, me and my Bengt visited Gunillaberg in Bottnaryd, Småland, in the south of Swedish inland. It is halfway between Stockholm and Copenhagen, as the owner, who is Danish tell.
The owner is the famous florist and artist Tage Andersen who bought the country house wih land 2008. He lives also still in Copenhagen where he has his fantastic, but small flower shop. From now on, he will have a flower, and garden exhibition here every summer between June and September.
He uses the scenographic language to show his art. Inside the house the rooms change in mood and atmosphere. The furnitures are an idea from himself and executed usually in iron. Flowers usually dried inside. Fresh perennials and bulbs outside in vases.
The cost for the entrance is approximately Euro 10, including coffe or tea.
Gunillaberg is a magic place, one of a kind. Here is also room for his beloved swines.
The landscape around is pittoresque with forest, water and fields.
Summer 2011 är Gunillaberg öppet 2 juni - 25 september.
